An organisation is the master record of a company or person you deal with. Every customer has one, but an organisation can also exist on its own: a company you are still talking to, a partner, a consultant or a supplier. Keeping the identity on the organisation means the tax number, addresses and people are entered once and shared by everything linked to it.

Add an organisation

  1. Open CRM › Customers › Accounts and select New account.

The organisations list with the search, filters and the New account button
  1. Type the Name. You can add the Arabic name and the Legal name, and set the Status.

  2. Fill the contact details: Country, State / Governorate, City, Phone, Email, Website and Address.

  3. Set the Industry, Source, Owner, Team and, for a branch or subsidiary, the Parent account.

  4. Under Classification and preferences, set the Company size, Territory, Customer tier and Currency, then choose the Roles the organisation plays for you.

  5. Select Save.

While you type, possible duplicates are listed. Open the existing record instead of creating a second one.

The organisation page

Click an organisation's name in the list to open it. The header shows Current contacts, Open opportunities, Activities and Contracts, with buttons for Edit, Change status, Promote to customer, Merge and Archive.

For a customer: Balance, Credit limit and Payment terms (days).

Addresses and bank accounts

Under Addresses, select Add address to keep billing, shipping or site addresses, each with its Address type, Label, national-address details and a map pin. Tick Use as the default for the main one. Under Bank accounts, select Add bank account and enter the Bank, Account holder, IBAN, SWIFT / BIC and Currency. The IBAN is stored hidden: leave it empty when you edit to keep it.

Promote an organisation to a customer

  1. On the organisation page, select Promote to customer.

  2. Choose the Customer group. The Branch (optional) defaults to yours.

  3. Confirm. A customer record linked to the organisation is created, so it can be invoiced. Select Open customer 360 to continue on the customer.

The organisation must be reachable: its own phone or e-mail, or a current contact who has one.

Archive or merge

  • Archive hides the organisation. It is refused while the organisation is linked to a customer or has open opportunities.

  • Merge moves roles, contacts, opportunities, activities, attachments and child accounts into another organisation, then archives this one. Choose the organisation to keep in Merge into, select Continue and confirm. A merge cannot be undone from here. For many duplicates at once, use duplicate review.

Common questions

Can an organisation be its own parent? No, neither directly nor through a chain of parents.

I changed the tax number on the organisation. Do I need to update the customer? No. The customer's copy updates automatically.
