Trading and distribution
Stock in several places, reps in several more
Buying in bulk, selling in pieces, holding stock across warehouses, and collecting from customers who pay on terms. The margin lives in the detail, so the detail has to be right.
What usually goes wrong
Sound familiar? Here is what Rocket ERP puts in their place.
Every customer has a different price
Lists, categories, negotiated lines and a discount somebody agreed on the phone. Without one place that decides the price, the invoice depends on who raised it.
The real cost is not the purchase price
Buy the same item at three prices across a quarter and the margin on today's sale depends on which cost you read. Reading the current one rather than the one at the movement overstates the margin quietly.
Who owes what, and since when
A receivables figure is not useful; a receivables figure aged by due date is. Collections happen against specific invoices, not against a total.
The reps are the system of record
If a visit is written on paper and typed up on Thursday, the pipeline is a guess. A rep needs to record the order where they are standing.
What matters for you
One platform, configured for the way your business works. Nothing extra to buy, and no separate edition to maintain.
- Price lists by customer and by category, with a fixed per-item price for the lines you negotiated.
- Cascading discounts recalculated on the server, so a stale or altered figure is refused rather than posted.
- Moving-average costing read at the moment of the movement, so margin reports mean something.
- Customer and supplier statements aged by due date, with collections against specific invoices.
- The field-sales app: check in at a customer, raise the order there, sync a visit taken with no signal.
- Sales targets per rep, pro-rated across the period, with a dashboard against them.
- Stock per warehouse with transfers that post a journal, and units with conversions.
What you gain
Here is what changes when you run your business on Rocket ERP:
Every invoice carries the right price for that customer, whoever raises it, and an altered discount is refused before it posts.
Margin reports you can act on, because each sale is costed at the moving average of the moment it left stock.
Collect with focus: statements aged by due date show who to call first, and every receipt settles specific invoices.
An up-to-date view of your field team: orders raised at the customer, visits synced, and every rep measured against target.
