The portfolio puts every project on one page: how much work is signed, how much is billed, what is left to do, what each job is making and what clients still owe.
The projects
Go to Projects > Project Portfolio.
The tiles total the projects, contract value, certified, backlog, margin, outstanding, retention held and the projects heading for a loss.
The list shows each project's status, contract value, certified, backlog (value − certified), cost, margin, margin at completion, % complete and outstanding. Open projects are shown; use the status filter for others.
A project whose approved estimate at completion is above its contract value is flagged and counted in Heading for a loss. Margin at completion and % complete are empty until a project has an approved estimate.
Receivables ageing
Open Receivables ageing to see, per contract, what clients still owe on issued certificates by age (0–30, 31–60, 61–90 and over 90 days from issue), with the retention held and the advance still to recover.
Common questions
Why does the margin differ from the margin at completion? Margin is what the books show today; margin at completion is what the approved estimate expects when the job ends.
