The site diary is the daily record of what happened on site. When a delay or a claim is argued months later, it is the evidence: who was there, what worked, what was done and what stopped the work.
Write the day's diary
Go to Projects > Site Diary and select New diary.
Choose the project and the day. A project has one diary per day.
Choose the Weather and enter the temperature.
Under Manpower, select Add a trade for each trade on site and its count.
Under Equipment on site, select Add equipment for each machine, with how many and the hours worked.
Under Work done, select Add work for each activity, with its task.
Fill in Issues, Delays and Visitors if there were any.
Select Save draft, or send it for approval.
Site engineers can also write the diary from the employee app. See write the site diary from the app.
Add photos
Open the saved diary and select Add photos. A diary can have up to 20 photos, and they can still be added while it waits for approval.
Approve it
Someone with permission to approve site diaries, who did not write it, opens it and approves it, or returns it for changes with a reason the writer sees. An approved diary no longer changes.
Select PDF to print the diary with its photos and signature lines for the site engineer and the approver.
Common questions
Who sees which diaries? People with the site diary permissions see all of them. An employee writing from the app sees only the diaries they wrote.
Can I change a diary after it is approved? No. Write any correction in the next day's diary.
