A delivery user is the driver or courier who takes an order to the customer. You choose one on a sales invoice, and you can set a default per branch in the sales invoice settings. Delivery users do not sign in to Rocket ERP; they are a list of people you assign deliveries to.
Add a delivery user
Open Administration › Access Control › Delivery Users.
Select Add Delivery User.
Fill in the form:
Name and Mobile.
Branch: the branch the driver works for.
The location pickers (Country ID, City ID and Area ID) and the Address. Each picker lists the places under the one before it, so choose the country first.
Linked employee: for an in-house driver, choose their employee record so that attendance and delivery commissions reach payroll. Leave it empty for an external courier.
Select Save.
Find, edit or deactivate a driver
Use Search by name or mobile to find a driver quickly.
Open the row's actions menu and select Edit to change any detail, including the linked employee.
Select Deactivate and confirm to stop offering a driver on new invoices. The row keeps its history and shows the inactive status, and past invoices still name the driver.
Pay delivery commissions
The HR bonus button at the top of the list opens the screen where you record a bonus for each delivered invoice. See Record delivery commissions for payroll.
Common questions
Do drivers need a user account? No. A delivery user is only a name you assign to deliveries. If a driver also uses the system, create a separate user for them.
Which driver appears by default on a new invoice? The one set as Delivery user in the branch's sales invoice settings. The person creating the invoice can change it.
Can I delete a driver? No. Deactivate them instead, so that past invoices keep the driver's name.
