Write notification templates and recipient rules
Word each notification in Arabic and English for each channel, and add rules that decide which records trigger it and which groups or users receive it.

Every notification type already has a built-in wording. Templates let you replace it with your own text, per channel and per language. Rules let you add recipients and conditions to a type, so that, for example, the finance group is told about every overdue invoice above a certain amount.
Before you start
The notification type must exist on the Types tab. See Manage notifications.
Write a template
Open Administration › System › Notification Admin and select the Templates tab.
Select New Template.
Choose the Notification Type and the Channel the text is for. An email can be longer than an SMS, so write one template per channel.
Write the Subject (English) and Subject (Arabic).
Write the Body (English) and Body (Arabic). Insert values from the record between braces, for example
{invoice.number}or{customer.name}.Keep Active on and select Save.
Each user receives the language set for them. If a type and channel have no active template, the built-in wording is used.
Add a rule
Select the Rules tab, then New Rule.
Choose the Notification Type.
Choose the Event Model: the kind of record the rule watches, such as a sales invoice. Choose None (event-driven) if the rule should simply follow the type's own events.
Choose the Event / Trigger for that record.
Under Conditions, select Add condition and set a Field, a comparison and a Value, for example a total greater than 10000. Add as many conditions as you need; all of them must match.
Enter the Recipient Groups (comma-separated): the names of the user groups to notify, exactly as they appear on the Groups screen.
Enter any extra Recipient User IDs (comma-separated): the ID numbers shown in the Users list.
Choose the Delivery Schedule: send at once, later, or gathered into a digest.
Keep Active on and select Save.
Edit, pause or delete
Open a template or rule with Edit to change it, or switch Active off to pause it without losing it.
Delete removes it permanently and cannot be undone.
Common questions
My placeholder prints as text. The name between braces does not exist on that record. Check the spelling, or ask support for the list of values available for that type.
The finance group did not receive the notification. Check that the group name in the rule matches the group exactly, that the rule is active, and that the record meets every condition. The Outbox tab shows whether a message was created at all.
