The purchasing dashboard shows the purchasing team where money is committed and where orders are stuck. Use it each morning to chase late deliveries and to see which suppliers take most of your spend.
Open the dashboard
Open Home › Purchasing Dashboard.
The page shows all branches. Pick a branch in the page header to see one branch only; choose All branches to go back.
Like the sales dashboard, this page has no date picker: it works on this month and this year so far.
The tiles
Pending Orders: the number of purchase orders not yet completed.
Purchases (MTD): the value of purchase invoices recorded this month, with the change against the whole of last month.
Purchases (YTD): the value of purchase invoices recorded this year.
Overdue Orders: the number of pending purchase orders created more than seven days ago.
The charts
Order Status splits purchase orders into Pending, Completed (MTD) and Overdue.
Purchasing Trend (12 months) compares, for each month, the value of Total Orders with the value of Completed Orders. A growing gap means you are ordering faster than suppliers deliver or than you record receipt.
Suppliers and items
Both lists cover this month's purchase orders, ten rows each, highest value first:
Top Suppliers, with their number of Orders and their Value.
Top Purchased Items, with quantity and Value.
Orders waiting longest
Pending Orders at the bottom lists the ten oldest open purchase orders, with the Supplier, the Amount, the order Date and the Days Pending. Start your follow-up calls from the top of this list. When nothing is waiting, it says No pending orders. All caught up!
Common questions
Why do the tiles and the trend disagree? The Purchases tiles count purchase invoices, while the trend and the supplier lists count purchase orders. An order placed this month and invoiced next month shows in different months.
Can I change the seven-day limit for overdue orders? No. An order counts as overdue once it has been pending for more than seven days. The Alarms dashboard lists the same orders as warnings.
