The Rocket ERP mobile apps at a glance

Which phone app does what - employee self-service for every employee and manager, field sales for reps and pre-sales - and how your permissions decide what each one shows.

Rocket ERP has phone apps for the people who are rarely at a desk. Each app works on the same company data as the web system, with the same user accounts and the same permissions, so what an employee does on the phone appears in the office immediately.

What it does

RocketERP ESS (employee self-service)

Every employee, and managers

Clock in and out with your location, request leave and hourly permissions, read payslips and documents. Managers approve their team's leave.

Rocket Field Sales

Field reps, pre-sales and sales managers

Your route for the day, GPS check-ins, quick lead capture, leads and deals, tasks, customers, service requests and quote requests. Managers follow visits and scorecards.

Getting the app

Your company decides which apps its staff use and tells you where to download them. Ask your HR department for the employee app, or your sales manager for the field sales app. You will also need:

  • your company code, which identifies your company's workspace;

  • the e-mail and password of your Rocket ERP user account. You use the same account on the web.

What you see depends on your permissions

The apps never show more than your user may see on the web.

  • In the employee app, the Team tab appears only for managers who hold the manager self-service permission. Everyone else sees Attendance, Leave, Payslips and Profile.

  • In the field sales app, the screens come from your CRM menu. A rep who may only see leads and the route sees only those; a manager who may view all records also sees the team's tracking and scorecards. If your account has no screen the app can open, it says so.

Ask your administrator to change your permission group if a screen you need is missing.

Working with a weak signal

Both apps are built for places where the network drops:

  • A clock-in or clock-out made without a connection is kept on the phone and sent automatically when the signal returns, with the time you actually pressed the button. See punching without a signal.

  • A field visit check-in or a quick-added lead is also kept on the phone and sent later, and it is never recorded twice.

Everything else - requesting leave, approving, editing a lead - needs a connection at the moment you save.

Language and appearance

Both apps work in Arabic and English, follow the phone's language by default and can be switched in Settings. Dates are always shown in the Gregorian calendar with Latin digits, so they match the web system and your payslips. You can choose a light, dark or automatic theme.

Your privacy

The apps read your location only at the moment you clock in, clock out or check in at a visit. They do not track you in the background.
