When no ready-made report answers your question, the Report builder lets you assemble one yourself: choose what to report on, which columns to show, how to filter and group, and how to sort. You can save the definition and share it with your group.
Before you start
Your group needs the dynamic reports permission to open the screen, and a separate permission to save reports.
Steps
Open Reports & Analytics › Dynamic Reports.
Under Define report, open Entity and choose what to report on, for example sales invoices or general ledger entries. The list shows only the entities available to you.
Under Columns, tick the columns to show. The list can include columns from related records, such as the customer's name on an invoice.
Optional: add Aggregates. Select Add, choose a function (sum, average, count, minimum or maximum) and a column, and give it an Alias if you want a clear column title.
Optional: choose Group by columns, for example the customer or the month, so the aggregates are calculated per group.
Optional: add Filters. Choose
ANDto require every condition orORto accept any of them, then select Add for each condition and set the Filter column, the operator and the Filter value. Operators include equals, not equal, greater or less than, like, between and in.Optional: set the Sort order (Ascending or Descending) and a Limit on the number of rows.
Select Run report. The result appears in a table below the definition.
Save and reuse a report
Select Save.
Enter the Report name and, if you like, the Report name (Arabic).
Tick Share with group to let your colleagues use it.
Select Save report. You see Report saved.
Saved reports appear under Saved reports at the top of the screen; shared ones are marked shared. Select a name to load its definition, adjust it if needed, and run it again. The delete icon next to a name removes a report you own.
Export the full result
Select Export Excel or Export CSV. The export runs in the background so that large reports do not hold up your screen. When the file is ready you receive a notification with a download link. The link stays valid for 24 hours; after that, export again.
Common questions
Why is Run report greyed out? Choose an entity and at least one column first.
I see "Failed to run the report". A filter value usually does not match its column, such as text in a date column. Correct the condition and run again.
Does the builder respect my branch and company? Yes. It reads only the data your account may see.
