Steps
Open Reports & Analytics › Sales Reports › Item Growth Rate. The page title is Items growth rate.
Choose the Year. Empty means the current year.
Optional: narrow the report with Item ID, Main category, Sub-category, Branch ID or Warehouse ID.

The summary
Four tiles head the report:
Annual sales value: the sales value of all listed items for the year.
Peak month: the best month and its sales value.
Full-year growth: the change from the first month with sales to the last.
Items tracked: how many item and unit combinations are listed.
Two charts follow: Monthly sales value, the total of each month, and Month-on-month growth %, the change of each month against the month before.
The per-item table
Under Per-item breakdown, each row is one item in one unit, with:
Item and Unit.
12-month trend: a small chart of the item's year.
Annual total: the item's sales value for the year.
Avg. growth: its average monthly growth, in green when positive and in red when negative.

How the figures are calculated
The sales value of a month is the line amount before tax, plus tax, minus line discounts.
Growth is the change against the previous month in percent. A month with sales after a month without them shows 100%.
Export
Export Excel and Export PDF give one row per item and unit, with a value and a growth column for each month.
Common questions
Why does an item appear twice? It was sold in two units, for example by the piece and by the carton. Each unit has its own row.
