Keeping a customer costs less than finding a new one. These two customer reports show who has stopped buying and how buying patterns change over the year.
Stagnant Customers
Customers who made no sale in the period you choose.
Open Reports & Analytics › Customer Reports › Stagnant Customers.
Set the period in From and To, for example the last 60 days. Empty means the current month.
Select Apply.
Columns: ID, Customer, Mobile, Group, Address, Last Purchase and Total Purchases. Last Purchase and Total Purchases cover the customer's whole history, so you can tell a good customer who has gone quiet from one who rarely bought anything.
Customer Growth Rate
Month-by-month quantities for one calendar year, with the growth from each month to the next.
Open Reports & Analytics › Customer Reports › Customer Growth Rate.
Choose the Year. Empty means the current year.
Choose the customer in Customer ID to follow one customer. You can also filter by Item ID, Branch ID or Warehouse ID.
Select Apply.
Each row is one item. For every month you get a quantity column and a growth % column, from January to December. Growth compares the month with the one before; a month with sales after a month without them shows 100%.
Common questions
Does a return count as a sale for Stagnant Customers? No. Only sales invoices count. A customer who only returned goods in the period is listed as stagnant.
Where do I see what a stagnant customer still owes? Open their customer statement.
