Sell at the POS register
Ring up a counter sale with tiles, search or a barcode scanner, take payment, give change and print an 80 mm receipt. Every sale posts like a cash sales invoice.

The POS register is built for fast selling at a counter. You add items with a tap or a scan, take the customer's money and print a receipt. Behind the screen, each sale is a full sales invoice: stock leaves the warehouse and revenue, tax and cash are posted.
Before you start
Your user is linked to a POS terminal and a cash box. See Set up POS terminals and cashiers.
You have at least one price list assigned.
Open the register
Open Sales › Invoicing › POS. The register is also under Administration › Point of Sale › Register.
Along the top you see your Terminal, the customer, the Price list, the Warehouse and the search box. The branch defaults are already selected. If you see Could not load the register, your group may not have permission to create sales; select Retry after your administrator checks it.
Ring up a sale
Check the customer. For walk-in sales, keep the branch's default customer.
Add items in any of these ways:
tap a product tile. Tap it again to add one more. A tile shows {qty} in cart once it is in the cart;
filter the tiles with the category chips, or All;
type in Scan barcode or search… or scan a barcode, then press Enter. The first match goes straight into the cart.
In the Cart, use the plus and minus buttons to change a quantity, or select a line and type the quantity on the numpad. Select a line to edit its quantity reminds you when no line is selected.
To remove a line, use Remove line. If you may grant discounts, a Discount box appears on the selected line.
Check Subtotal, Tax and Total.
Tiles marked Out of stock have no stock in the selected warehouse. If your branch blocks selling without stock, the quantity is limited to what is available.
Take payment
Select Pay or press F4. The Payment window opens. Payment terms shows the cash term: the register sells for cash only.
If the terminal accepts several methods, choose the Payment method, for example cash or card.
If your company runs a loyalty programme, enter the customer's number in Loyalty mobile.
Enter the Amount tendered: type it, use the numpad, select Exact, or pick a quick cash amount. Change due shows what to hand back.
Select Complete sale. If the amount is short, you see The amount tendered is less than the total.
Print the receipt
Sale completed opens with the invoice number, total, paid amount and change. Select Print receipt to print an 80 mm receipt, then New sale to start the next customer. The receipt shows your tax and commercial registration numbers, the cashier, the customer, the payment method and any discounts. Last receipt reopens the previous receipt.
What happens next
The sale is saved as a sales invoice tagged with your terminal and the next receipt number. It appears in Sales history and in the sales invoice list. If your branch issues goods through withdraw orders, the warehouse issues the goods later.
Common questions
Can I sell on credit at the register? No. Use a sales invoice with a credit term.
The customer brought an item back. Do I void the sale? No. Record a customer return. Voiding is for mistakes made at the till.
