The General Settings screen holds each branch's print defaults: the paper size that print views open with, and a footer message printed at the bottom of documents, such as your return policy or legal wording. Each row belongs to one branch and one print type.
Add a print setting
Open Administration › Configuration › General Settings.
Select New setting.
Choose the Branch and the Print type this row applies to. Each branch can have only one row per print type.
Choose the Print size. The list shows numbers:
Value
Paper
1
A4
2
A5
3
Thermal roll, 80 mm
4
Thermal roll, 58 mm
Type the Message printed at the foot of the documents, for example your return policy or payment instructions. It is required and can hold up to 200 characters.
Enter the Barcode width and Barcode height. Both are required to save the row.
Select Save.
What prints where
The system reads the row of the signed-in user's branch. When the branch has several rows, it uses the first one created; when it has none, it uses the first row of your company.
Payslips and work orders open their print view on the row's paper size and print its Message at the foot. You can still pick another size on the print screen before printing.
Account statements and payslip PDFs print the Message at the foot.
Sales and purchase documents have their own paper-size picker on the print screen. Choose A4, A5 or a thermal roll there each time you print.
The rest of the letterhead comes from elsewhere: the company name, logo, address, phone numbers and email from your company record, and the currency symbol from the default currency.
Edit or delete a setting
Open the row's actions menu and select Edit to change the size, message or barcode size.
Select Delete to remove the row. The deletion is permanent: that branch then uses your company's first row until you add a new one.
Common questions
Payslips print on the wrong paper size at one branch only. Check that branch's first row. If the branch has no row, add one; otherwise the company's first row applies.
The address on my invoices is wrong. The address is part of the company letterhead, not of this screen. Ask your administrator or support to correct the company details.
Can I print my tax registration number? Type it in the Message field. It then prints at the foot of the documents listed above.
