Follow your notifications
The bell in the header tells you when something needs your attention. Read notifications, open the record behind them and mark them as read.

The system sends you notifications when something concerns you: a request waiting for your approval, a document assigned to you, a reminder that falls due. They collect behind the bell at the top of every screen, so you can deal with them when it suits you.
The bell
The bell sits in the header, next to your photo. A red number on it shows how many notifications you have not read yet; above 99 it shows 99+. The number refreshes by itself every half minute, so you do not need to reload the page.
Read your latest notifications
Select the bell. The notifications panel opens at the side of the screen.
Read the list. Each notification shows its title, its message and how long ago it arrived.
Select a notification to deal with it. The system marks it as read and, when it is linked to a record, opens that record in a new browser tab.
The panel has two tabs:
All shows your recent notifications, read or not.
Unread shows only those you have not opened. When there are none, the panel says No unread notifications.
When you have read everything, the panel says You're all caught up.
Mark notifications as read
To clear one notification, select it.
To clear them all at once, select Mark all as read at the bottom of the panel. The red number on the bell disappears. The button is greyed out when nothing is unread.
See every notification
The panel shows the most recent ones only. For the full history:
Open the panel from the bell.
Select the link at the bottom of the panel.
The link reads View all notifications. The Notifications page lists everything you received, twenty per page, newest first. Use the All and Unread tabs in the same way, the arrows at the bottom to move between pages, and Mark all as read in the page header.
Where notifications come from
Your administrator decides which events send a notification, to whom and through which channels. That is set up in Manage notifications. If you expect a notification that never arrives, ask your administrator to check that the event is active and that your group or user is among its recipients.
Notifications are personal: each user sees only their own. Operational warnings for the whole business, such as low stock or overdue purchase orders, are collected on the Alarms dashboard instead.
Common questions
Messages from colleagues do not appear under the bell. Chat messages have their own icon, the speech bubble next to the bell. See Chat with your colleagues.
A notification opened a page I cannot use. The link leads to a screen your group does not grant. Ask your administrator for access, or ask the sender to handle it.
