If you sell through an online provider, Rocket ERP keeps the link between your items and the provider's product list. From the Inventory menu you can see what the provider shows, decide what is published and update many items at once.

Before you start

  • Your administrator must connect at least one provider. Until then the screens show No e-commerce provider is configured.

  • Items are linked to the provider per unit, so an item sold online by the piece and by the carton has two listings.

Review and publish items

  1. Open Inventory › E-commerce › Ecommerce SP items. The Ecommerce Items page opens.

  2. Choose the Provider at the top, or type its Provider ID.

  3. Read the list: each row shows the Name, Unit, Price, Quantity, In stock, the Min – max order and the Status.

  1. To change whether a row is listed, open its row menu and select Publish or Unpublish.

  2. Confirm the change. The message Item publish status updated confirms it, and the Status column switches between published and unpublished.

Update item IDs and order limits in bulk

The provider identifies each product by its own ID. Map your items to those IDs, and set order limits for many items, from Excel.

  1. Open Inventory › E-commerce › Ecommerce SP Update Items. The Ecommerce item IDs page opens.

  2. Choose the Provider.

  3. In the update item IDs panel, choose an Excel file that maps your internal item unit IDs to the provider's product IDs, and select Upload.

  4. In the bulk update panel, choose an Excel file with minimum and maximum order quantities and publish flags, and select Upload.

Each file must be .xlsx and no larger than 1 MB. A confirmation such as Item IDs upload submitted or Bulk update submitted tells you the provider has received the file.

Tips

  • Unpublish an item before it runs out rather than after, so no orders arrive for stock you do not have.

  • Keep one master sheet of provider IDs and update it whenever you add an online item.

Common questions

The price online differs from my price list. The provider list shows the selling price the provider holds for that unit. Update it on the provider side or through your integration.

I changed an item in Rocket ERP. Does the provider see it at once? Publish status changes are sent when you confirm them. Other details depend on the provider's own synchronization.
