When your prices change across the board, for example a 10% rise from a supplier, reprice the whole list in one run instead of editing each item. The same run also adds any item that is missing from the list.

Before you start

  • You need the price-list management permission.

  • You must be assigned to the price list, and to every list the run touches. Otherwise the run is refused before anything changes.

Steps

  1. Open Sales › Pricing › Price Lists and click the price list to open Price list items.

  2. Select Sync & reprice. The Sync and reprice items panel opens.

  1. Under Apply to, choose all active items, one category or one item. For a category, choose the Category. For one item, choose it in Item ID.

  2. Under Adjustment, choose how to change the price, and enter the Value:

The new price for every item in scope

  1. To change every price list you are assigned to, not just this one, tick Apply to every price list. This rewrites prices on every price list you are assigned to, not just this one.

  2. Select Preview. A table shows each item with its Current and New price. Items marked Not on list will be added.

  3. If the result is right, select Apply. The confirmation states how many items will be added and repriced, for example This will add {created} item(s) and reprice {updated} across {lists} price list(s). This cannot be undone.

  4. Select Confirm.

How the new prices are calculated

  • Items already on the list change from their current price on the list, not from the item's base price.

  • Items missing from the list are added at the item's retail price. Run the adjustment again if they also need the change.

  • A percentage discount cannot exceed 100: A percentage discount cannot exceed 100.

What happens next

New sales invoices, quotations and POS sales use the new prices as soon as the run finishes. Documents already saved keep their prices.

Common questions

Can I reprice by importing a file instead? Yes. See Update price list prices from Excel.

The run was refused. Why? You are probably not assigned to one of the lists. See Assign price lists to users.
