When prices come from a supplier sheet or a pricing review in Excel, load them straight into a price list instead of typing them. Each upload updates one price list. Items already on the list get the new price, and items not on it are added.

Before you start

  • You need the permission for bulk price list updates.

  • You must be assigned to the price list you want to update. Otherwise the upload is refused with You don't have access to this resource.

  • You know the item numbers. The sheet identifies items by their number, not by name.

Prepare the file

  1. Open Sales › Pricing › Bulk Price Update.

  2. Select Download template to get the Excel layout.

  3. Fill the sheet by position. The first row is skipped:

3

Unit type: 1 for the item's default unit, 2 for its biggest unit

  1. Save it as an .xlsx file of 1 MB or less.

Upload the prices

  2. Select Choose file and pick your sheet.

  3. Select Upload.

Read the result

  • {count} rows imported. Every row was saved.

  • {ok} imported, {failed} failed. Some rows were refused. Each failed row is listed with its reason. The imported rows are already saved, so fix only the failed rows and upload them again.

  • The file couldn't be accepted: followed by a reason means nothing was imported, for example because the file is not an .xlsx file or File is too large (max {mb} MB).

What happens next

  • New sales documents that use this price list pick up the new prices at once.

  • If your company sells online through a connected e-commerce store, the new prices are also sent to that store.

Common questions
