Features not included in your plan

What the "not included in your plan" message and plan limits mean, why your data is safe, and how your workspace can get the feature.

3 min readLast updated

Your workspace's subscription plan decides which modules and features it can use, and how many users, branches, warehouses and employees it can have. Anything outside the plan is hidden from the menu. If you reach it another way, for example through a saved link, the system tells you it is not included.

When you see "Not included in your plan"

  • The page or action belongs to a feature your workspace's plan does not include, such as point of sale or payroll.

  • It is not a permission problem: your administrator cannot grant it from Groups and permissions, because the plan is what is missing.

  • Nothing is deleted. Records you created while the feature was available stay in the system and come back as they were if the plan includes the feature again.

  • The mobile apps show the same message and hide the actions the plan does not include.

When you reach a plan limit

Each plan allows a number of users, branches, warehouses and employees. When the workspace already has as many as the plan allows, creating one more is refused with a message such as Your plan allows 5 users. You can:

  • deactivate one you no longer need, then create the new one; or

  • ask your administrator to upgrade the plan.

The figures you already have are never cut back: a workspace that has more than a new plan allows keeps them all and only cannot add more.

Monthly message allowances

Plans can also limit how many e-mails, SMS messages, WhatsApp messages and mobile push notifications the workspace sends each calendar month. When one of them is used up:

  • notifications are not lost. They still arrive in the app, under the bell, and only the e-mail, SMS, WhatsApp or push copy is held back until the 1st of next month;

  • an e-mail you send on purpose, such as a document to a customer, is refused with a message such as Your plan's monthly E-mail allowance (500) is used up, so you know it did not go;

  • password resets and sign-in codes always go out and never count.

Administrators get a notice at 80% and at 100% of an allowance, and can see this month's figures in Notification usage.

Report builder limits

Plans can also limit the report builder: how many rows a report shows on screen, how many reports can be run per hour and how many can be exported per day. When the runs or exports are used up, the builder says so and tells you when you can try again; reports you already exported are not affected. Every workspace also has limits that keep the system fast for everyone, such as a time limit after which a long report is stopped.

How to get a feature or a higher limit

  1. Ask your workspace administrator. Only the administrator can ask for a plan change.

  2. Your administrator contacts the provider to upgrade the plan, add the feature as an add-on, or try it for a limited time.

  3. Once the plan changes, sign out and sign in again, or reload the page, to see the new menus.

Common questions

I could use this screen yesterday. Why not today? The workspace's plan changed, or a trial of the feature ended. Your data from that feature is kept.

Can my administrator give me the permission instead? No. Permissions decide who may use what the plan includes. A feature outside the plan stays closed for everyone, administrators included.
